With our main offices located in London and our international network of representatives, we have global reach for sales and marketing of our products and take care to ensure our counterparty satisfaction for every cargo we deliver.
We transport significant quantities of material internationally, shipping in breakbulk and in containers. We collect from supplier’s yards and production facilities and deliver material to steel mills, stockists and end users around the world. We typically purchase product ex works, or FOB, and sell to buyers CFR or CIF. We arrange forwarding and charter vessels through our network of reliable international shipping agents.
Through our 70 year + banking relationships, we can offer a range of financing options; from prepayment to suppliers for goods prior to shipment; through to extended sales terms to our customers after arrival at their premises.
Some risks are inevitable in our business and that of our customers and suppliers. We use a variety of tools to help mitigate these risks, including currency hedging, LME futures, in order to minimise market exposures wherever possible.
